The Princess is turning 5!

Yes, Margaux is turning 5 already by end of the month! She has been growing to become a very pretty young lady. She prefers wearing dresses now that the usual jeans and shirts outfit. She also loves her hair to be well-groomed all the time. I think, she's getting most of these characters from me. So vain! lol!

She recently had her advance birthday party in school. We had to do it like 15-days in advance since their last day was last Tuesday. Yes, they are officially on summer break. We would have a simple get together with other kids in the neighborhood in time for her birthday. I am hoping to book the clubhouse in our area.

She was all pretty in pink (which is her fave color) during her party in school...

11 years...

ago we decided to make it a "try" but it was working very well from day one till everyday of our lives.

11 years after, we still laugh with each other. We still find joy with each other. We still feel the comfort of one another.

Everything is still clear in mind up to this time.

It was just like yesterday. And as I always look forward to tomorrow, I'm glad that I'm spending my everyday with him.

We are celebrating our 11 years of love to one another. 11 years ago when the "try" becomes an "I do" 4 years after  and up to now, we are everyday saying "I love you."

This is most precious.

I love you Babes!

Bianca's Bday Party at Shakey's

Despite the heavy rains at exactly 3pm, we were overwhelmed with the outcome of Bianca's party yesterday. A number of friends and relatives attended, in fact, most of the ones we invited came. It only means that we are truly loved by our family and friends, naks!

We started late, almost 5pm because most were stuck in traffic  due to flashflood in Katipunan area. Good thing I really reserved the place at 4pm but I placed 3pm in the invitation.

The kids had fun based on the few pictures I got. I'm still waiting for the official photos from Howell, Abie's dear husband. I was so glad they weren't stranded so Howell was able to take a lot of pictures of the details, well, I supposed.

Here are just some snapshots from our camera:

And Bianca just love Dora, (the mascot) a lot!

For us, it was a great party...all for the happiness of our dear Bianca!

Bianca's bday celebration in CRIBS

Disclaimer:  This post is not to brag...it is just to share our humbling experience and be inspired to also share your love and time to these homeless kids.

In fact, this was just supposed to be the celebration of her birthday but good thing the dad also agreed for another party in Shakeys.  CRIBS Foundation has always been our favorite charity so we are not new to them.  I have seen some who have moved from infant section to the crawlers section and now was suprised to see them in the toddler section where Bianca celebrated a simple party with them.

Initially, I wanted to just buy packed food from Jollibee or Mcdonalds but I suddenly realized that it would be more meaningful to just cook for them instead.  We had spaghetti, chicken nuggets, hotdogs and jimini's pizzas.  I also bought juices and ice cream for the 10 toddler kids who will be participating.  Of course, there should always be a cake.  I was instructed that it should just be a simple merienda for the kids.
Then Bianca and Margaux were placed in the middle in preparation for the candle blowing of the cake.
And the 10 kids were all there ready to sing happy birthday for my little Bianca...
Candle-blowing time...
It was then time for their merienda...
After eating, Bianca enjoyed giving out the lootbags and the toys to each kid.

And I caught her giving a toy to the kids in the crawling section through that small opening in the door...

It was truly a humbling experience.  The kids cried when we left.  I was moved again and again everytime we visit the place.  If I could just all bring them home.  :-(

Bianca's Birthday Theme

Need to plan now for Bianca's 2nd birthday party. Obviously, I want Dora the Explorer as the party theme. I'm starting from scratch as I finally just got the approval from the husband to celebrate it. I need to finalize and decide the venue by next week. Hopefully work on food, invites, prizes, lootbags and few decors.

Now, I have a problem as to how can I trim down my guests to 100pax only! I was requested by the daddy to keep the party at its minimum and not match it with the other previous celebrations of the 1st birthdays of Margaux and Bianca having about 250 guests! I wonder how I can manage it!

Goodluck to me!

With my co-parents...

Celebrated my bday with my co-parents from the previous school of Margaux. It was our get together as well in the place of AA as we won't all be together anymore this coming school year. Most of us moved to big schools, but others still stayed. It was nice to meet them again. I hope this won't be the last even if our kids are not classmates anymore. We have built our friendships already.

AA with Allie who recently gave birth, me and Margaux, Nile, Myra. There were two other moms who weren't in the picture.

And AA gave this beautiful cake for me. Ofcouse its beautiful cause it has my face on it!

And I also made some money this afternoon, had a mini-garage of my old clothes and from the kids, few bags that are not used already. Wow, I made about 2K all in-all! Nabawi ko ang pinanglibre sa kanila! Hahaha!

The Bday Celebration...

was very simple. I'm happy that it was a non-working weekend so I just savor the time to be with my family.  At first, Dicky wants us to go out on a bar date last saturday night to watch Nina in Hard Rock but I refused as I just wanted to rest early and be with the kids.  So we just decided to head out to the mall last saturday afternoon.  Actually, instead of shopping for myself, just bought shoes and clothes for the kids instead.  And then Dicky treated me for a take out of this...

I was giddy happy for a quart of my favorite ice cream and flavors as dulce de leche and strawberry! Yum, yum, yum. Was munching on it while watching House series when we went back home.

Yesterday, my exact birthday, Margaux handed me a bday card upon waking up. That actually starts my day!

She did the card together with her dad last saturday before we headed out to mall, while I was taking my nap. She wrote her name with the help of her dad and she drew those circles inside the cake.  So sweet!

Then we prepared as we heard mass that morning but we passed by Dampa in Libis first to order take-out food for lunch. Bought crabs, shrimps and liempo as my "handa" for a simple celebration with my family. We were all so full for lunch.

Then for the dessert, candle-blowing for me, (hihihi). I bought my own cake! (pathetic) but i forgot to ask for a candle so just grabbed whatever I found in our kitchen cabinet! Notice it was blue! It was so overwhelming to hear my kids sing happy bday for me. Call me "mababaw" but this is one of life's precious moments!

It was just great to spend my special day with my family with no fuss, just plain and happy celebration! Having them is enough! (naks)

Tomorrow...

we will be checking in Manila Pen as an additional wedding anniversary celebration. We got married in that hotel so imagine how much i was affected when Trillanes chose to lodge his massive appeals there! Hay, I'm super pissed with him. But the hotel has not lost its grandeur. It's still for me the best. I'm biased ok.  We do stay here every year.  And this year, we are staying till Sunday!  Sayang ang vouchers!  Yahoo!  I bet it would be swimming again for the kids.  I just hope the sun will rise already by tomorrow.

The Gifts...

So here are the gifts for the great man for our 6th Year Wedding Anniversary...

It was a well-spent celebration.

We feasted on this triple decker cake, which was a gift from a client...
