A sample of the foods that were delivered for the husband for his full day meal. This was Day 6 of his South Beach diet. He started Monday of last week and he already lost 10 lbs! Clap, clap, clap! Bravo! I am giddy happy I tell you! I hugged him every morning after weighing himself on the scale. Cause I know, 1 lb loss is already another year of healthy life! He really needs to shed off a lot of those pounds. Still a long way to go but he should be getting there! I'm so proud of him! And I am in full support for him on this challenge!

For cars that were affected by flood...
Since my friend's car was affected of the flood in their area, she is now on the lookout for reasonable car parts available for her Toyota Vios. Apparently, there's a long cue of cars to be fixed in the dealer's casa so she is now looking for alternatives to have her fixed by a regular mechanic. In fact, it took almost two weeks before her car was towed in a nearby parking lot in their area. The husband recommended our own good mechanic so our friend can also save a lot in labor. We know it could be taxing in the pocket really so I even recommended that she takes a look at the discounted prices and free shipping offered by Car Parts Warehouse. Told her to check their site at http://www.carpartswarehouse.com . If you know someone who is in need also to buy parts for their cars, do refer the site as we they have available parts of almost all brands.

CNN's Hero of the Year...
Reposting this from an email I got. Saw him also in TV the other day...

Here's the link to Efren's story and his Dynamic Teen Company (the organization he founded). You can vote for Efren by clicking on the link found in the article.
http://edition.cnn.com/2009/LIVING/wayoflife/03/05/heroes.efren.penaflorida/index.html
Voting is open between now and Nov. 19. CNN will announce the winner and give out the award at a star-studded show on Thanksgiving night in L.A. at the Kodiak Theater (same venue for the Oscars). So, let's all help Efren win so that he will, in turn, be able to help more impoverished kids. The more votes Efren gets, the greater his chances of winning the "Hero of the Year" award and the $100K. It will take less than a minute to click a button to cast your vote. Let's all help Efren continue to make a difference in those slum kids' lives. Without his mobile school and his group of volunteers, those kids will probably never have a chance to set foot in a real school and learn their ABCs. Let's all vote for Efren! Please don't forget to pass this on to everybody you know---Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike----so more people can vote for this young man with an extra big heart.

Disney on Ice...
Got information from friends that this is a good one. I wish we can also watch. Need to ask the husband first though...
I'm sure the kids would love it especially Bianca who loves Mickey Mouse to bits! I wonder if we can squeeze it in our super busy December schedule?
Heard also that they do pre-selling of tickets for BDO credit card holders until October 16. Otherwise, you can only purchase tickets after that date.
I'm wishing they can also accept paypal payments already!

St. Partricks Invitation
I am not really familiar about the St Patricks Invitations which I saw from site http://www.holiday-invitations.com/. There were a number of designs available pertaining to St. Patricks party invitations.
Apparently, its the most celebrated national day of Ireland commemorating their patron saint, St. Patrick himself. Irish are really taking time for this celebration with family and friends so sending out St Patricks Day invitations is quite a common practice with them.
Holiday-Invitations offer all kinds of invites whether for Christmas, Easter, New Year and even those party invitations St Patrick's Day. You would be happy to note that you can modify any card design or any color as you may wish so. And in case you don't find anything that you like, they would also be able to make a special design based on your preference. Do remember them for any holiday invitations you may need.

What's happening?
It is so depressing to watch the news. I wonder what's happening to the world? There are calamities left and right. After the storm Ondoy that affected most of parts of Manila, came Pepeng who battered Northen Luzon. Good thing, no one was reported who died from the super typhoon. Then there was the earthquake in Indonesia. About 800 people died from it. Then there was also the heavy flooding in India. Reported casualties were at 300 already and still rising. The tsunami in Sonoma Islands also brought series of earthquake all over the world. A lot are in despair, thousands became homeless. I hope the world can recover from these tragedies. In our area, electricty and water were already restored few days after the Ondoy wrath. I hope the government or other agencies can also work out something for those who still without. How I wish there's something like Able Restoration from where we are. The company actually helped repair the water damage San Diego. Having an able group who specializes on how to manage this problem should really be considered.

Sending moving announcements...
I am helping a number of friends to get Free Moving Announcements from Announcements-Shoppe. Most of them are moving to higher places or different areas after the country has been hit by the storm. Though its not actually a house warming invitation since most of them were really badly hit, the cards that would be sent out to their family and friends especially those living abroad would just be moving announcement.
These announcements moving cards would be ordered from http://www.announcements-shoppe.com/. I can modify any card design or color as I request it. They have great selection of available cards that would surely match any requirement. Better inform your friends who might need it as well as they do offer some free shipping and even free invitation cards for some designs selected. It is important to still be in touch with friends who have moved homes so getting new addresses would be essential.

Flood...

The picture above was lifted from reuters. It was in Ortigas Avenue Extension right after the floodway bridge. No one was spared from the neck-deep flooding in the area. The east of metro manila was badly hit. Our families are victims of this grueling experience. Its like you would have to run for your life for the immediate rise of water on the roads. Most of the vehicles were submerged in water. Most of the roads are non-passable so the commuters and even those with their own cars have no choice but to bravely walk on flooded areas. And on those areas without flood, vehicles are not moving at all because of extremely heavy traffic. So even if you are riding those beach bikes like what you used to have when you were a kid, you won't be able to pass. Rain was pouring like there's no tomorrow! It was scary! In fact, I still can't imagine how I managed to cross Marcos Hi-way in bare feet (slippers untangled) in a chest-deep water with current. I was like swimming in coffee with cream (read: brown color) water! Arg! Nevertheless, I was just glad to be home with my family!

Still a no...
The husband forwarded to me a site where you can buy harley accessories. Is he trying to convince me that he would like to buy a big bike? Ahm, no, I am not yet solved to the idea. But the site has over 30,000 different motorcycle parts and accessories to fully customize a Harley and at a hefty 60% off from most of the brand names! Very good deal if you are looking for one. I ym'd the husband and said, it's still a no, period! :P

Another Birth Announcement
I have been receiving a number of Birth Announcements. I came a party last night and almost the other mommies on the table where I was seated made some baby announcements! I almost transferred to another table! lol! But indeed, those were very good news for everyone. I am happy for a friend who is pregnant for her 3rd baby already and she's hoping for a girl this time.
She's really excited for this pregnancy since we started at the right weight as she said. I got inspired with her to really trim down first before planning for another pregnancy so it won't be much of a problem in gaining some more lbs. I am pretty sure she would make some photo baby announcements, maybe even video? Her husband is the Filipino Videographer so making some photo birth announcements won't be a problem at all. They got some suggestions last night to have it printed from http://www.cardsshoppe.com/. In CardsShoppe, they can really add photo or images to any card designs. Plus they do print and ship the orders the same day as the layout is approved. I'm looking forward to receive a copy of one from them!

A Baby Shower Invitation
I love receiving Baby Shower Invitations. It's a symbol of new beginning and new life. Take for example the image of a baby shower invitation on the side. It says that "their dreams finally come true." I can very well attest to that. My husband and I were blessed with our first-born Margaux after being married for more than two years. It was the sweetest baby announcements when we finally told our friends and family. It was worth all the wait.

Margaux's Wishlist
So for the upcoming MBAP's advance christmas party in two weeks time, need to post already the wishlists of my little girls. Will start off with my first-born:
Margaux's Wishlist (these are all according to her ok)
1. Barbie doll (with some accesoories please!). Not her first actually but she would just love to receive another doll. Besides, she really loves to play with the house sets of Barbie I got for her last christmas.
2. Ice cream Clay Playset
3. A dog toy in a cage. I don't know if this would be within the budget but if not, never mind, hehehe. She saw this from a little girl in the mall once time. Its a playtoy dog with a cage that you can bring around with you.
Next up, Bianca's wishlist...

Back from HK...
since last night but I am still wishing we are still there!!!! yep, 4 days was really not enough. I feel like it has passed so quickly. The kids had a blast. But I was so tired tending to the two girls (parang mga boys! hehehe). Thanks for the very helpful and responsible husband. I tried to quickly move around Harbour City for like 1.5 hrs only while I left the kids with him in our room in Marco Polo Gateway. I was hoping I could still go to Ikea in Causeway bay as I would like to see if they do have those tables in Toronto like the tulip oval table which I want to put in our lawn but didn't really got the chance to go there anymore. Shopping was not really a priority for this trip anyway but I was able to sneak in some purchases still. Well, mostly for the kids. I barely got something for myself but I managed to bring home one atleast. Still downloading our pictures and need to find time now to post our vacation story. Tons of work is also waiting on my desk! Yes, after being gone for just 4 days!!! Arg, this is what I hate after coming from a vacation, getting back yourself to the groove again. Wish me luck tomorrow!

1. Finish answering all emails from clients.
2. Finish all pending checklists for clients.
3. Buy food to leave for the maids.
4. Clear up memory cards of both cameras.
5. Finish packing the luggages to bring for the trip tomorrow.
I am busy today as I still have meetings till evening so I was so happy that I was able to prepare things already for the trip. Now, I am ready to relax and enjoy the vacation after tonight! Leaving the house early tomorrow morning to catch first flight to HongKong!

One day to go!!!
Those were the words of my daughters when they woke up this morning! We are leaving on wednesday morning for a quick trip to HongKong. Would spend 2 nights in Disneyland and then move to the city afterwards. I'm kinda worried about the weather. I hope it would cooperate on us. I checked the weather forecast in Hong Kong and it says that its generally Sunny with isolated rainshowers. Hoping for a nice weather while in Disneyland atleast.

Rolex anyone?
Some of my friends were talking about owning a piece of Rolex Watch. They have been wanting to get the two-toned oyster lady perpetual. I am actually not a watch person but getting one could also be a real treat. I was browsing through the site of www.bestoftime.com. I must say that I was quite glued to the the site after a while. They do have great pieces. I wonder if my friends know about it. I should tell them to check it as well. One of them is actually flying to US next year so I guess it would also be best for her to check it out especially if they are going to Atlanta. The company offers genuine Rolex watches at great discounts from the manufacturer's suggested retail price. In the country, the prices of Rolex watches are soaring high. I am not sure actually if I can own a brand new one so I am even considering looking at pre-owned pieces. But Best of Time also offers pre-loved watches so its really a great site to check when you are shopping for one. They even provide 3-year warranty and free fedex shipping. Such a great deal at substantial great price. So anyone considering to get a Rolex watch should check out the site too.

For my camera's USB Cable...
O blessed St. Anthony,
the grace of God has made you a powerful advocate
in all our needs and the patron
for the restoring of things lost or stolen.
I turn to you today with childlike love and deep confidence.
You have helped countless children of God
to find the things they have lost,
material things, and, more importantly,
the things of the spirit: faith, hope, and love.
I come to you with confidence;
help me in my present need.
I recommend what I have lost to your care,
in the hope that God will restore it to me,
if it is His holy Will.
Amen.

Movie Date with the Kids...
The husband planned to bring both kids to the theater. It wasn't the first time for Margaux but it was for Bianca. She was pretty scared at first because of the scary trailers that were shown on the 1st part. (movie theaters should be consistent that when it is GP movie, should also show GP movies for trailers) Anyway, the kids and even me and the husband enjoyed the movie UP from Pixar and Disney. In fact, I had some emotional (read: crying) moments on some parts of the movie. I felt bad for the old man to be missing his wife! The kids love it! They enjoyed the movie a lot!
The movie is about young Carl Fredrickson meets a young adventure spirited girl named Ellie. They both dream of going to a Lost Land in South America. 70 years later, Ellie has died. Carl remembers the promise he made to her. Then, when he inadvertently hits a construction worker, he is forced to go to a retirement home. But before they can take him, he and his house fly away. However he has a stowaway aboard. An 8 year old boy named Russell, whose trying to get an assisting the elderly badge. Together, they embark in an adventure, where they encounter talking dogs, an evil villain and a rare bird named Kevin.

The Coach...
The husband taught my nephew yesterday on proper dribbling of the basketball.
I think they should have this session every week so the husband would be compelled to sweat off! Its an exercise also for him as he shows them the proper moves.

And there was a "lady referee" watching them!

On Blogging...
I have been blogging for almost 4 years already. Yes, it has been part of my life already to share some wonderful moments about me and my family. Although I know that it is a public blog, I do not care what other people would say since this is what I really feel like writing. I have also gained a number of good friends through blogging, not to mention that I have also earned in some other ways. The other week, I have been thinking to create another blog. But I am not just sure how I can actually squeeze in my daily routines in writing more stuff. I have also been reading a lot about essential tips on increasing e-commerce business which are all related to blogging. Apparently, I learned that the web hosting company you are getting is also essential on this success. Aside from engaging your audience on what they read, you also have to consider getting a reliable support from a webhosting company. There are some who actually specializes in blog hosting, some into forum hosting, others even on ecommerce hosting. Well getting one could sometimes be confusing so you better be guided by some reviews in the internet that provides comprehensive comparisons on these companies. Everything is viewable from Webhosting Geeks. They do feature the companies based on its advantages, bonus features, space capacity and even its offering price. If you really do not know where to start, reviewing and reading up something about it matters for the success in your blogging career. I encourage some to start now, it is nice sometimes to read back your previous blogs and recall the happy moments you had with your family. Its truly an online journal of life.

He wants to buy...
Yes, I know there is really something with the husband recently. He is haunted by his wish to buy a new vehicle. How would I know? He sends me everyday pictures of SUVs he has been browsing online. Those second hand SUVs that he finds worth looking at. I also caught him over the weekend talking to a seller. And last night, he admitted to me that while in our bank, he also asked for a quote for a car loan! He was telling me that it won't be a cut to the budget especially if we would just sell the other vehicle to get a new one! Ok, so he wants to buy a new vehicle really. I just told him to make sure to buy one that won't be a pain in terms of finding its auto parts, especially if he's considering getting just a second hand. He said checking out Great Auto Parts site would be a big help since they have a complete catalog. But I am still not giving in to this option of buying another vehicle. And if ever I would, I would prefer a brand new. (wink!)

Lovely dresses for kids...
We went to Eastwood Mall last saturday since we have to get a birthday present for a party we had to go to. We went to Baby Fashionista's store (Prim's store) and there Margaux found a lovely dress. She never took off her eyes from the dress and she fitted it herself.
So I bought it for her and also got a red dress for Bianca. They both look so lovely...(manang-mana sa mommy! hehehe!)

What's on Monday?
It's going to be the State of the Nation Address on monday. I thought its going to be a holiday but nah! The declaration was claimed back. Well, I hope to hear nice things from the speech. But all will not be wasted if everything that would be promised won't be executed. Same way if the address will just talk about false review of the past year's accomplishment. There are many things the government should focus on. Quality Education, Housing for the poor, Employment and a lot others. The government should also ensure proper empowerment of those in public service. But the empowerment shouldn't be abused at all. I hope the government would also look into auditing of all government agencies. I wonder where all the budget is going to when for example a typical policeman doesn't even have a decent Police boots. Government should extend all efforts to actually review all their suppliers even those providing just the supplies and uniform of the ones in public service. They should have just gotten like the police gears from Chief, a known provider of all military gears. Let's see if those things would be addressed during the SONA.

Can I survive the Arctic?
This quiz was provided by
Merchandize Liquidators
a Wholesale Clothing Company
Gee, I cannot! I saw this quiz from a friend and thought that it's cool to try as well. True enough, I can't last a day in the arctic without clothing. Who could be? It's so freezing cold there. I would have wanted to stay in an igloo though and see for myself a polar bear! But I still want to experience winter and be able to wear some fabulous winter clothes. I have always wished for it.

Ever been in a collision?
This is one of my fears when driving. One of my collegue got into an accident on their way back to Manila from Tagaytay last week. This happened after an event. Good thing, nothing bad happened to them physically but he has to shoulder the expenses of all the injuries suffered by the passengers of the other car. Now, he is looking for a good repair shop to fix his car. Told him about auto body yorba linda, which is the largest network of collision repair experts. Their network of auto body shops has a lot of good feedbacks on how they actually put the vehicle back to pre-accident condition. In case you get into something like this, just hover to the site.

Supportive Wife!
Yes I am. Well, as far as I know I am. lol! Like accompanying the husband to watch Transformers on its first day of showing despite the heavy rain and being so tired from day's work. Then again last sunday. since it was his birthday last 27th, he requested that we watched PBA game in Araneta Coliseum. Why? Because his favorite team, the underdog Ginebra Kings was on its way to finish the semi-finals. Good thing, our trip to Cubao didn't go wasted as the team won and now competing for the finals. The husband is now even asking me to watch again, likely by next week. It is actually fun to watch the game. I also had a great time as I too was shouting and jumping for joy whever Artadi and Helterbrand would make their 3-points.
Here are some pictures that I took:

Hooked...
to gardening lately! I bought new sets of plants again today in my fave landscaping store, cause they offer their plants cheaper other than any other store along their street. And with me watching Home and Garden Online TV during my free time, I have been getting a lot of tips on how to really make gardening a good way to relieve me from stress. Yes, I have found my new outlet. Maybe, I should start growing orchids as well. Also, I have been hooked as well to Spreety TV Online : Watch TV Shows Online Free. Its a great site to watch legally your favorite TV shows. They have lots of channels to choose from which can be for any genres. Try it yourself sometimes. For the meantime, I'm gonna catch again a new episode of the gardening show I have been watching.
