Disclaimer: This post is not to brag...it is just to share our humbling experience and be inspired to also share your love and time to these homeless kids.
Initially, I wanted to just buy packed food from Jollibee or Mcdonalds but I suddenly realized that it would be more meaningful to just cook for them instead. We had spaghetti, chicken nuggets, hotdogs and jimini's pizzas. I also bought juices and ice cream for the 10 toddler kids who will be participating. Of course, there should always be a cake. I was instructed that it should just be a simple merienda for the kids.
Then Bianca and Margaux were placed in the middle in preparation for the candle blowing of the cake.
And the 10 kids were all there ready to sing happy birthday for my little Bianca...
Candle-blowing time...
It was then time for their merienda...
After eating, Bianca enjoyed giving out the lootbags and the toys to each kid.
And I caught her giving a toy to the kids in the crawling section through that small opening in the door...
It was truly a humbling experience. The kids cried when we left. I was moved again and again everytime we visit the place. If I could just all bring them home. :-(

your little girl seems to have a very kind heart.. ang cute nyang tingnan while trying to give those other kids their gifts. hala haba ng comment ko :)
Wow. Really humbling experience. I'm sure bianca had a blast in her first birthday celebration for her 2nd birthday.
ang nice naman to celebrate nyan mare... really nakaka touch..
it's one of the nicest thing in the world to do for the parent-less kiddos.. :)
Happy Birthday Bianca! :D
it was so sweet of you Jody to celebrate Bianca's birthday there! will check this foundation out nga din. :)
happy birthday Bianca!
how inspiring! i am sure you will be blessed a hundredfold with the kind of deeds you teach your children. it may not be of material wealth, but with other meaningful things in life that money can never buy.
Hello Arlene! It was really a heartwarming experience. We pray for more opportunities to do this.
awww, sobrang na touch ako kay bianca giving a gift to the baby through the small opening......so sweet of your little girl.
I was so touched by this post. I'm sure your generosity will be rewarded a thousand fold. Belated happy birthday to Bianca!
