My holiday wish...

Your Holiday Wish is Being with Family and Friends

The holidays are near and dear to your heart. You don't need much to make you happy this time of year.

As long as you're able to be near the people you love most, you are content. It's really that simple.

You want nothing more than a full house of people celebrating the season. It doesn't matter if it's your house or not, just as long as everyone is there.

And if someone doesn't happen to be around during the holidays, you think about him or her often. You get very sentimental this time of year.

One of the christmas gifts...

that I have been meaning to get is a Holiday Fun Eyeglasses from the New Arrivals collection of Zenni Optical. I really like the stylish designs I saw at an affordable price of $8 Prescription Zenni Glasses . I have yet to show the husband though which one does he think would be more appropriate for me. I'm excited for a new pair of glasses.  What do you think of what I found?

Disney on Ice...

Got information from friends that this is a good one. I wish we can also watch. Need to ask the husband first though...

I'm sure the kids would love it especially Bianca who loves Mickey Mouse to bits! I wonder if we can squeeze it in our super busy December schedule?

For information about it, click here.

Heard also that they do pre-selling of tickets for BDO credit card holders until October 16. Otherwise, you can only purchase tickets after that date.

I'm wishing they can also accept paypal payments already!

What's happening?

It is so depressing to watch the news. I wonder what's happening to the world? There are calamities left and right. After the storm Ondoy that affected most of parts of Manila, came Pepeng who battered Northen Luzon. Good thing, no one was reported who died from the super typhoon. Then there was the earthquake in Indonesia. About 800 people died from it. Then there was also the heavy flooding in India. Reported casualties were at 300 already and still rising. The tsunami in Sonoma Islands also brought series of earthquake all over the world. A lot are in despair, thousands became homeless. I hope the world can recover from these tragedies. In our area, electricty and water were already restored few days after the Ondoy wrath. I hope the government or other agencies can also work out something for those who still without. How I wish there's something like Able Restoration from where we are. The company actually helped repair the water damage San Diego. Having an able group who specializes on how to manage this problem should really be considered.

Twitter/Bebots Exchange Gifts

So its now my turn to post my wishlist for the Twitter/Bebots Exchange Gifts this time. Here's my list:

ONLINE:

1  Bath and Body Works Products.  I am choosing everything from SALE items (if this would be the choice, the items would have to be shipped in an address in either Texas or LA; would send it separately)

a.  3 for $10 Hand Soaps (scent preferences: country apple/irresistable apple; fresh lime     basil; white citrus)
b.  3 Room Sprays at $3 each (scent preferences: Fresh Bamboo and Cinnamon and Clove Buds/Spiced Cider and Sweet Pea)
c.  5 for $5 Pocketbac (any scents)
d.  1 Body Cream for $6 (Scent preferences:  Cucumber Melon or White Citrus)
Total of these is exactly $30.  Ang saya diba? coz madami! ;)

Ok, I have a disclaimer for not requesting for a bath and body works gift card instead.  It states kasi that the value of the purchase of the egiftcard is not applicable to offers.  But if it can be confirmed that I can use it for sale items online then I'm fine to just receive the e-giftcard.

2.  Old Navy E-giftcard. Check it here.

3.  A 3-piece cardigan pajama from Victoria's Secret. Click here for the exact item. I prefer it in the same color as in the picture. Color: Coral. Please get me a size 12.  I know this is at $35 but I am willing to pay back via paypal the extra $5 and if there's an extra shipping charges.  It should be shipped in an address in Texas or LA.

LOCAL:

1.  Magazine Gift Subscription of Good Housekeeping (12 months) and Yes Magazine (6-months). You can order through their site. I super like to receive this gift! been meaning to subscribe but really can't find time to do so thus a gift subscription would be a pleasant suprise.

2.  Some kitchen products but I would have to repost again specific items as I need to check first.  I prefer getting from Gourdos or Living Well.

3.  Starbucks GC - equivalent value in 100 denomination ;) (hahaha!) Starbucks is my office actually when I meet clients so getting a GC from it would be a lot of savings for me!

I'm excited for this!

One day to go!!!

Those were the words of my daughters when they woke up this morning! We are leaving on wednesday morning for a quick trip to HongKong. Would spend 2 nights in Disneyland and then move to the city afterwards. I'm kinda worried about the weather. I hope it would cooperate on us. I checked the weather forecast in Hong Kong and it says that its generally Sunny with isolated rainshowers. Hoping for a nice weather while in Disneyland atleast.

He wants to buy...

Yes, I know there is really something with the husband recently. He is haunted by his wish to buy a new vehicle. How would I know? He sends me everyday pictures of SUVs he has been browsing online. Those second hand SUVs that he finds worth looking at. I also caught him over the weekend talking to a seller. And last night, he admitted to me that while in our bank, he also asked for a quote for a car loan! He was telling me that it won't be a cut to the budget especially if we would just sell the other vehicle to get a new one! Ok, so he wants to buy a new vehicle really. I just told him to make sure to buy one that won't be a pain in terms of finding its auto parts, especially if he's considering getting just a second hand. He said checking out Great Auto Parts site would be a big help since they have a complete catalog.  But I am still not giving in to this option of buying another vehicle.  And if ever I would, I would prefer a brand new.  (wink!)

Debating...

Husband and I are debating last week if we need to get a new vehicle. Well, that could be a very nice birthday gift for both of us but I really don't think we need to get one at this point in time. So the husband is frustrated that he can only dream about his ultimate plan to get his new car! Although, we have discussed already on what could we possibly get in case we decided to really get a new one. The husband has been eyeing to get an executive car for him! Actually, I do agree with it. If he was to choose, he would love to get a Volvo or a Mercedez Benz. Told him to better get a driver this time. In case we are buying, which would not be really really soon,  I'm sure we would be hooked up with an online company that sells for Volvo or Saab parts at reasonable rate and available wide options. But if I were to dream, I would love to drive a black BMW 5 series!  I love this car, so manly!

Think...Think...

I went today to my corporate gifts supplier to check on my orders for the T-shirt printing but I got hooked in checking out the b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l paintings I saw hanging on their walls. Looks like they are a gallery now.  These paintings were done by the famous Ivan Acuna, who is the Philippine's Premier Abstract Expressionist Painter are all consigned to them and for sale.  And I saw one hanging that is a perfect fit for our high ceiling staircase wall.  I have been looking for this size all along in a lot of galleries I have been to already.  Now, it got me renew my interest in buying his piece for the new house!  They said paintings can put more value to your property!  (wink!)  Can I trade this for a birthday gift I am eyeing for?  Makes me think...

I'm glad...

that Matt Giraud is staying for another week. I still like his style nevertheless like what I have written here.  His performance last night was really a better one than what he did last week.  Hope he can really redeem himself next week.  Looking forward as its disco theme by then.  I feel like the AI contenstants this season are all great, especially the remaining ones.  And oh, I also like Allison, Anoop and Kris.  So that means, I rooting for Li'l to be eliminated next.  But sad that two has to go already next week.

I'm not a fan...

so much of Adam Lambert. I know his voice is good and getting a standing ovation from Simon last week was a first time in all AI seasons. But then, I still love the softness and soulfulness of Danny Gokey and Matt Giraud. Although they say that Matt has been choosing wrong songs recently, I still like how he puts his tenderness when he sings. He reminds me of Phil Collins. I hope he could stay for few more weeks.  I'm not hoping that he would win the final round but I just feel that he should not leave yet this week.

And speaking of American Idol, David Cook is having a concert in Manila on May 16 if you still do not know. It would be at the concert hall of Mall of Asia. Told myself before that I'm watching this guy if ever he would go here for a concert and be willing to pay even a hefty price of 10K just to be in front to watch him. But the date of his concert is falling on the same date that we would have an MBAP outing and I already confirmed to that. My other friends are watching and I'm so envious! I'm thinking if its going to be worth it to go home right away from Tagaytay to catch his concert. But it might be too traffic to go down from the south. Still deciding though.

Back to the Gym...

I'm so happy that I was able to go back to the gym today. It's a great achievement for me cause I was away for like 2 months! Imagine that? I hope this is the start again of me getting back to the groove. I know how hard to resist good food this Christmas season so I really need to atleast burn intake of calories. Wish me luck on this struggle.
